As an ethnomusicologist, Gavin Douglas has studied a variety of music traditions, with most of his research among the Burman populations of Myanmar. He holds a degree in classical guitar and plays a wide variety of other styles (rock, steel string acoustic, fingerstyle, Irish, and West African). In addition to guitar, he makes a variety of noises on flute, fiddle, Burmese harp, and can even be caught singing!
